Hello all,
This is just a very quick blog from me to say we decided to get a train to Jodhpur yesterday instead of delhi. This is because we couldnt change our flights from the 24th May... yesterday's train took about 5 hours, and unfortunately I felt really really ill the whole way to Jodhpur with a very bad stomach and a high temperature - I havent been able to keep any food down, even if it's really plain food, without needing to run to the loo. Today, I slept until about 12.30pm but woke up still feeling rotten - but Jake and Si insisted I needed to try and get some food down me. At about 3pm we found somewhere to eat - I just had some orange juice and a piece of toast but 5 minutes later I had to run to the toilet to be sick! I really do feel so rotten - the food here does not agree with me at all, and I'm starting to lose lots of weight which really isnt good. I've got some anti-biotics now so hopefully I will be better soon.
Anyway, sorry to write about so much doom and gloom but that's all thats really happened in the last couple of days! I cant even begin to tell you how much I miss British hygenic food... I think one of the reasons I keep getting ill is the hygeine standards are generally quite bad here
Miss u all, as always
from a very poorly Emma xxxxx

Dearest Emma, Sorry to hear you havnt been very well. The best thing you can do is to just drink water in little sips very 15 minutes. Dont eat anything until you stop being sick. If you can get hold of some, try and get some rehyration salts from the chemist which you mix with water. Dont worry if you cant get any, just have little sips of water. If you are sick, dont try and drink anymore for at least half an hour, otherwise you get more dehydrated.Dont eat anything at all until you stop being sick. Dont drink anything like orange juice or soft drinks, just have plain clean water, and dont drink lots in one go, just sips. When you feel like eating, just have something like a plain biscuit. Dad just sent you a text as well. Did you get the antibiotics from the chemist or from a clinic?
Hope you are feeling better soon. Love you so much, Mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

dearesst Emma, I have just read your most recent e-mail to Dad. Im glad you managed to get the rehydration powder. Its designed to replaced all the salts and sugars you loose when you are sick, so dont worry about not eating yet, all you need to do it to keep going with water until the sickness clears up. When you are ready to eat dont eat fruit and it will go straight through you. You can eat it again when you have stopped being ill. I hope you have started to feel better now.
I enjoyed my day out with Auty Merica, I took the laptop with me to show the photos and the travel blogs, but she does not have broadbank, I will have to print them out for when I see her next time. Ben has just come back from work and he is helping Dad and Quon to do the roof today and tomorrow, just to speed things along. India seems a facinating place and not short of some shifty characters ready to take advantage of tourists, but I am sure you have learnt all that now, and it will be a valuable life lesson and experience. We are setting of for Bournemouth tomorrow afternoon and will be spending the night in a hotel there. The weather is supposed to be sunny so it willbe nice to have a good look around. We went to a quiz will Phil King at Church Lench yesterday and came 3rd, Brian, the chap who gave you the guitar lessons was there and asked about you. The factory next door had almost been razed to the ground, and its amazing what difference it will make. We will send you some phots of the house soon. The money from your premium bonds went into your account today as well. Also your car money has gone in.Dad hasnt figured out the Skpe yetr - I think he needs to get you another connection- maybe Simon could pop by for 5 minutes and set it up for him???????
We will let you know when he has managed to sort this out. Good luck with your travelling to Delhi - will this be your last Indian train journey? Take care of yourself Emmsy, love you so much Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
